The village of Shipton Gorge occupies a wonderfully central location along the World Heritage Coast allowing guests to explore the many delights that Dorset AONB has to offer. 13 miles west is the popular seaside town of Lyme Regis and 21 miles east is the seaside resort of Weymouth both perfect for building sandcastles and eating fish n chips followed by an ice cream. The village itself is only 2.5 miles from the beach which stretches all the way from West Bay to Portland Bill. There are also plenty of family attractions in the surrounding area. As you enter the cottage you ll find yourself in a hallway suitable for kicking off sandy shoes or muddy boots before stepping into the spacious lounge. In here the focal point is the large inglenook fireplace which houses a wood burner just perfect for snuggling up in front of on a cold evening but equally as striking is the contrast between the light walls and the original dark oak beams which is present throughout the ground floor.
